Sally Lesesne has been a professional painter for more than thirty years. A native of South Carolina, she studied at Converse College, the University of Tennesse, and at Oxford University in England under Joe Winkelman, then president of the Royal Society of Printers and Etchers. She has exhibited in the U.S. and England, and her work is in private, public, and corporate collections. She has taught at the Gibbs Art Gallery and Ashley Hall in Charleston, South Carolina. Her summers are spent traveling and painting "en plein-air." An annual family trip to an ancestral chateau in the Loire Valley in France is often partnered with trips to other locations; Provence, the Mediterranean, or Tuscany. She has also painted in the English Lake District, the Austrian Alps, and in China, as well as New England, Canada, the Bahamas, and the coast of the southeastern U.S.
